1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected while using the Pixelbite app, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect your email address when you create your account; your age, height, weight, gender, activity level, diet style, goal, and allergy information during onboarding; and the meal photos you take while using the app along with the nutritional value data generated from them. We store your device’s push notification token (via Firebase) so we can send you notifications.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use this data to calculate a daily calorie/macro target tailored to you, to analyze meal photos and produce nutritional value estimates, to track your progress, and to send streak/notification reminders. Your data is not sold to third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for account and data storage, Google and Apple authentication services for optional quick sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. These services are subject to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account from the "Privacy and Account" screen in your profile. You can manage your photo-retention preference from the same screen — when enabled, scanned photos are deleted after analysis.

6. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected with reasonable technical measures against unauthorized access. However, no system can guarantee 100% security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data. You can submit these requests from within the app or at the contact address below.
